South Bound Rate Restoration

Dear Customers

Following carrier announcements in December of an intended General Rate Increase (GRI) to New Zealand from North and South East Asia, I can can now confirm all carriers have implemented the following GRI effective 7th January 2015. Maersk are the exception implementing from 1st January 2016.

USD75 per 20’

USD150 per 40’

This applies from all ports in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines and India Sub- Continent (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh) and Middle East Gulf Ports to New Zealand.

The GRI is a cosiderable reduction from the intended USD350/700 announced by several of the major carriers.

Rates are applicable from the above origin countries on all vessel loadings on, or after the 7th January 2016.
